Simple Wholesome Pita - Part 1

To answer the question of whether measuring ingredients using a cup is possible, i.e. without using a scale, the answer is YES!

Here's a very simple way to make chewy, flavorful pita bread using whole wheat flours exclusively and, of course, no knead.

Measure one cup whole wheat flour:

Measure one cup white whole wheat flour:

Measure one cup sprouted whole wheat flour:

Add half a table spoon sea salt:

Measure one cup water at room temperature:

Sprinkle some active dry yeast:

Stir it to dissolve:

Add the water to the flour:

Mix it until a dough forms:

Cover the container and let it sit somewhere warm overnight.
